SBB Series Internal Separation Vibratory Bowls
The Spiral Bottom Bowl (SBB Series) represents the latest advancement in round bowl finishing machines. Its innovative spiral bottom bowl design provides a larger open area below the screen, which aids in part travel around the bowl during batch processing and reduces the final incline to the screen during part discharge. This series features a processing chamber with a continuous retention baffle that includes an extended internal screening section for effective part removal. Additionally, the integrated parts-media separator screen allows the media to fall back into the bowl during parts discharge, enhancing efficiency.
Available in several sizes and customizable with various options for specific applications, the SBB Series offers significant versatility. When equipped with an air-operated discharge door, these machines can be integrated into automated systems, minimizing the need for manual intervention.
When parts and abrasive media are placed into the spiral bottom bowl, its vibrating action causes millions of small collisions between parts and media, effectively removing material along part edges and corners. A mixture of water and finishing compound then washes away residual particles, resulting in a clean, smooth finish.
The SBB Series boasts several notable features, including wet or dry processing capabilities, a space-saving low-profile design for easy loading and unloading, a curved polyurethane-lined bowl for maximum finishing action, an extended screening deck for more effective parts and media separation, and a variable speed motor for process flexibility.
Optional features available with the SBB Series include an automatic lubrication system, flowmeter, tachometer, robust sound hood, gate clearing feature for automatic internal separation, and UL 508A electrical controls.
