Filter Presses

Wastewater pre-treatment in manufacturing is the process of treating wastewater from industrial activities before releasing it into the municipal sewage system. This pre-treatment is essential to eliminate contaminants, pollutants, and harmful substances from the wastewater to meet regulatory standards and avoid impacting local water treatment systems.

A filter press facilitates the separation of solids from liquids during wastewater treatment through a series of steps. Initially, wastewater containing solids is pumped into the press, where it is forced through filter cloths to capture the solids while enabling the passage of liquid. Pressure is then applied to extract additional liquid from the trapped solids, resulting in the formation of a solid layer or “cake” between the filter plates. Finally, the press is opened to allow for the removal of the solid cake, which can be disposed of. Leveraging high-pressure filtration, filter presses are highly efficient for dewatering sludge and solid separation tasks.

Our diverse selection of filter press sizes, ranging from small 250mm/0.4 cu.ft [11L] presses to large 2000mm/600 cu.ft [17000L] presses, ensures that we can cater to your specific project requirements. Moreover, we provide a comprehensive range of filter press components and accessories, including plate shifters, hydraulic systems, piping, manifolds, self-dumping cake hoppers, and more, to support your filtration needs effectively.
