Synthetic Media
Synthetic media presents significant advantages compared to standard polyester plastic media. It eliminates issues such as foaming and residue that are common in polyester media formulations. With a bulk density 20% to 45% lower than polyester and ceramic media, synthetic media offers a greater volume per pound, resulting in lower working costs. Its reduced weight per cubic foot helps minimize surface hammering and impingement, while also providing extremely fine finishes, making it ideal for industries like medical, dental, and aerospace. Moreover, the effluent from synthetic media separates quickly and clearly within hours, a stark contrast to the days required for polyester media. Being water-based, synthetic media is the most cost-effective and easily treated material for removal in wastewater systems. The quick settling of solids enables practical and affordable closed-loop wastewater systems, leading to considerable water cost savings for continuous use.
POLISH: This product is lightweight, provides a bright polished look, has great durability, and is compatible with various finishing machines. It is specifically designed for preplating purposes.
PREPLATE: This durable media creates exceptionally smooth finishes and deep color. It is ideal for preplating applications.
GENERAL PURPOSE: Available in two compositions, both offer good cutting performance with moderate media wear. However, one is tailored for use in high-energy centrifugal finishing equipment. These general-purpose synthetic media can produce finishes suitable for plating, anodizing, or painting.
FAST CUT: This lightweight synthetic media formulation is designed for fast cutting, prioritizing efficient metal removal rates and cycle times in fast-cut applications. It offers good media wear and delivers a matte finish.
AGGRESSIVE: This media offers aggressive cutting power while still providing a finish that is ideal for plating or painting. Specifically designed for high-energy equipment, it ensures good media wear and delivers a matte finish.
