Grinding and Polishing Lathes
Finishing Rx’s range of grinding and polishing lathes are high-speed machine tools designed for precision work on materials such as metal and glass. These machines rotate belts or wheels at high speeds while bringing the part into contact with the medium, enabling them to achieve a high-luster polish or assist in grinding and metal removal using selected abrasives tailored to the material and desired finish. With choices between single or variable speed and single or double spindle configurations, these lathes also offer customization options through add-on equipment like Belt Head Guards, Buff Wheel Guards, and Back Stands to meet specific application needs.
SINGLE MOTOR OR DUAL MOTOR MODELS AVAILABLE The VS models are variable speed, the SS models are single speed. Variable speed is accomplished with the use of a variable frequency drive.
STANDARD FEATURES:
– LCD on the VS and VHS models.
– Heavy duty fabricated steel base.
– Spindle lock on each side (spindle brake optional).
– Full voltage push button starters in NEMA 12 enclosures.
– Combination brake and stop switch that can be locked in position.
– 1 1/4” x 6” or 11” long spindles. On 5, 7.5, & 10 HP models
– 1-1/2” x 6” long spindles on 15 & 20 HP models
