With over 40 years of experience in manufacturing top-notch dry blast cabinets, customers’ demand for a high-quality Wet Blast Cabinet led MOD-U-BLAST to embark on an extensive research and development journey. After rigorous testing and countless hours of dedication, we are excited to unveil their exceptional line of wet blast units, with more innovations on the horizon. The Mod-U-Blast wet blast cabinets revolutionize the cleaning process by combining an abrasive media and water slurry mixture within the cabinet’s sump, which is agitated and suspended by a submersible Vortex pump. This suspended slurry mixture is then propelled through a specially designed blast gun using compressed air to efficiently clean the targeted item.

The MOD-U-BLAST MSB Series Wet Blast Cabinet offers numerous advantages over traditional blasting methods. This dust-free process cleans through water flow rather than impact, utilizing water as a lubricant between the media and the component. This unique approach promotes longer media lifespan, prevents media impregnation on soft materials, and significantly extends the longevity of cabinet parts compared to dry blast pressure cabinets.

 

This versatile equipment finds applications in a wide range of tasks, including cleaning dies and molds, removing paint, rust, scale, carbon, and similar deposits, surface preparation, achieving smooth finishes on stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials, as well as removing small burrs from manufactured components. To further enhance the productivity, efficiency, and durability of Mod-U-Blast wet blast cabinets, upgrade kits and additional options are available. These include filtered single plastic boxes with 14-gallon capacity and one filter roll, filtered single stainless boxes with 25-gallon capacity and one filter roll, set-in stainless turntables without wheels, turntables with wheels and inside tracks made of stainless steel or aluminum, portable outside tracks with base and hinge lift along with an aluminum tray, blast gun and hose holders, and cabinet lift kits ranging from 0 to 12 inches in height. Custom sizes are also available to cater to specific needs, ensuring optimal performance and flexibility for various applications.
