Bench Top Tumbling Barrels

Tumbling deburring barrels play a crucial role in the barrel tumbling or barrel finishing process, a method widely used for mass finishing parts in bulk. These barrels, typically made of metal or plastic, rotate on their axes and are filled with parts, media, and sometimes a liquid medium. By placing the parts and media inside and initiating the rotational motion, the barrel tumbling process effectively removes burrs, cleans, polishes, and finishes the parts, enhancing their quality and aesthetics.

Manufactured in the United States, the TL Series Rotary Tumbler Barrels are crafted using high-density polypropylene (HDPE) plastic. The covers of these barrels are made of stainless steel and feature neoprene expansion plugs to ensure a secure and leak-free seal. This design allows for flexibility in processing by enabling users to mix and match different components. Bel Air’s rotary tumblers are built with durable fiberglass bases and precise urethane bars that are ground to perfection. Each model is equipped with a 2-speed motor (low/high, 1140 & 1725 RPM), rotating the barrels at 467 RPM on low speed and 707 RPM on high speed. An optional feature for infinite variable speed is also available for customization. The FM-TLB-2 model is offered in a smaller “mini” version, and all FM-TLB models operate at 115V 50/60HZ.

Optional heavy-duty plastic barrels are available, featuring stainless steel and neoprene plugs with wingnuts for easy opening and closing. Users have the flexibility to mix barrels of different sizes on a single base, as indicated in the provided chart. The construction of these rotary tumblers boasts a sturdy reinforced fiberglass design, making them durable and reliable for various processing needs. Despite their robust construction, these tumblers are small and compact, offering convenience in handling and storage. The standard 2-speed motor provides basic operational control, while the optional variable speed feature allows for further customization based on specific requirements. With the ability to mix different sized barrels on one base, users can achieve versatility in processing various items simultaneously, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
